About this opportunity

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWRI) is issuing a single-source procurement for the acquisition of oceanographic instrumentation and associated maintenance and satellite telemetry services from RBR Global. The required equipment includes the RBR Maestro, Concerto, Fermenta, and associated sensors, as well as related laboratory equipment maintenance, test calibration or repair, and instrument parts and accessories. The justification for the single-source acquisition is that the existing DMO WireWalker (WW) platform used by FWRI-HAB is manufactured with integrated RBR instrumentation, and RBR is the sole vendor that can provide the telemetry services required for these instruments. The estimated dollar amount for this contract is up to $200,000 for a term of up to 3 years. Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required commodities or services by May 3, 2024. The contract will be awarded to the vendor that can demonstrate the capability and reliability to fully perform the contract requirements.

This procurement is not open to competitive bidding, as it is a single-source acquisition. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor is RBR Global, as they are the sole provider of the required instrumentation and telemetry services. The budget range for this contract is up to $200,000 over a 3-year period.
