The document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) issued by the Florida Department of Health (Department), Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Bureau of Environmental Public Health. The Department is seeking to purchase Short-term Passive Radon Test Kits and associated services, including analyzing the returned test kits, creating and sending laboratory reports, and conducting quality control and quality assurance procedures. The estimated contract term is 3 years. The Department made four unsuccessful attempts to competitively procure the requested services through an Invitation to Bid, and as a result, intends to proceed with a single-source purchase from Radon Testing Corporation of America.
The estimated dollar amount for the single-source purchase is $250,000. The Department is required to expand radon testing, mitigation, and data collection in new and existing structures per the Environmental Protection Agency State Indoor Radon Grant (SIRG) Award K-004773220.
