About this opportunity

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking bids for a replacement hydraulic motor for the Lake Loramie State Park dredger located in Minster, Ohio. The specific procurement involves obtaining a Staffa hydraulic motor, model number B270 HMB270P11, which has malfunctioned and requires immediate replacement to resume dredging operations. Vendors must quote a hydraulic motor with a remanufactured shaft, including shipping and warranty, to be delivered to Lake Loramie State Park at 4401 Ft. Loramie Swanders Road. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with evaluation based on a low lot total calculated by multiplying unit costs by estimated usage. Bidders must quote all items to be considered responsive, and the contract term extends through June 30, 2026. The bid response deadline is August 15, 2025, with contact for questions being Dan Gillis at Dan.Gillis@dnr.ohio.gov or by phone at 419-394-3611 or 614-634-0747. Delivery is F.O.B. destination, with all freight costs and risk of loss borne by the contractor until the state accepts the deliverable.

The solicitation documents indicate an emphasis on Ohio-based businesses and encourage participation from minority and economically disadvantaged enterprises. The state requires contractors to complete an Affirmation and Disclosure Form, which mandates disclosure of business locations and affirms compliance with executive orders prohibiting offshore services. Contractors must register through Ohio Buys, the state's online procurement platform, and may need to provide evidence of Economic Opportunity Designations such as Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certifications. While no specific budget range is listed in the documents, the procurement appears to be for a single hydraulic motor replacement. Contractors must comply with comprehensive state requirements, including standard terms and conditions that cover areas such as cybersecurity, data protection, insurance, and ethical standards. The state retains the right to terminate the contract if service locations change or compliance standards are not met.
