About this opportunity

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is soliciting bids for a sewer line replacement project at Pike Lake State Park in Bainbridge, Ohio, located in Ross County. The procurement involves trenchless replacement of approximately 200 feet of 8-inch clay tile sewer line, including all necessary connections and manhole repairs. Bidders are required to complete a mandatory site visit between Monday and Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, by scheduling an appointment through the park office at 740-493-2212. The project must be completed prior to May 31, 2025, with strict requirements to minimize disruption to park operations and cabin/lodge reservations. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder will be selected based on a low lot total, calculated by multiplying unit costs by estimated usage for all bid items. To be considered for award, the lowest apparent bidder must provide two examples of similar completed projects with photographs and references, and participate in a pre-award meeting with ODNR staff to ensure mutual understanding of project scope and materials.

The procurement appears to encourage participation from diverse businesses, potentially including Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Encouraging Diversity, Growth and Equity (EDGE), and Veteran Business Enterprises (VBE), as referenced in the Ohio Buys New Bidder documentation. Contractors must be registered in the Ohio Buys system and provide detailed information including Tax ID Number, legal business name, and complete address information. While a specific budget range is not explicitly stated, the contract will require vendors to maintain commercial general liability insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence. Bidders must also complete an Affirmation and Disclosure Form confirming service locations and compliance with Executive Orders prohibiting offshore services. All work must include remediation of any landscape or turf damage, with areas to be re-seeded upon project completion. Invoicing will be processed through Ohio Shared Services, with payments expected within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt and service acceptance.
