About this opportunity
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) is seeking a contractor to fabricate and install two specific exhibit components for the Mohican State Park Visitor Center Annex: a play camper and a scanner station. The play camper will be precisely constructed at 7' wide x 5' tall x 4' deep, featuring an interior layout with a kitchenette, bench, and specific window placements, designed to create an interactive learning environment for visitors. The accompanying scanner station will measure 26" wide x 5" tall x 24" deep, including a low cabinet with lockable doors, a matte black countertop, and an upper back wall to house a scanner arm and wall-mounted monitor. The project is part of a larger exhibit design aimed at creating an immersive, educational space within the visitor center. Proposals are due by May 27, 2025, with project completion expected by July 29, 2025. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with invoicing to be submitted directly to Ohio Shared Services using specific documentation requirements. Potential bidders are encouraged to conduct a site visit and can contact Sarah Mill at sarah.mill@dnr.ohio.gov or 614-265-6561 for additional information.
While no specific set-aside designations are explicitly mentioned in the documentation, the procurement process appears to be open to qualified vendors who can meet the detailed specifications outlined in the RFQ. The project will be funded through the state procurement system OhioBuys, which provides opportunities for diverse business participation. Although a specific budget range is not provided, the purchase order is valid through June 30, 2025, with a maximum value tied to the precise fabrication and installation of the exhibit components. The contract includes standard State of Ohio terms and conditions, which emphasize ethical standards, data protection, and compliance with state regulations. Vendors will need to provide comprehensive documentation, including detailed invoicing that matches the specified requirements, and be prepared to negotiate contract terms at the convenience of the DNR. The project integrates with the existing Mohican State Park Visitor Center infrastructure, requiring precise design and installation to create an interactive educational exhibit space.
