About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Public Safety is soliciting bids for push bumpers for Dodge Durango vehicles under an open agency contract with a proposal due date of December 27, 2021 (notice: this solicitation closed in 2021; Dana Safety Supply Inc was awarded at $249,996.00 on February 10, 2022). The contract is structured for one year with four optional one-year renewal periods. No quantity is guaranteed; purchases are contingent on funding and vehicle acquisition decisions by DPS. DPS has an immediate need to purchase 350 units soon after contract award.

SETINA is the specified brand, but DPS will consider approved equal brands if the supplier submits manufacturer specifications and accepts potential sample testing. If requested, the supplier must deliver a sample bumper system to the DPS Garage at 959 United Avenue SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30316 within 5 to 7 business days at no cost to DPS for evaluation and approval of approved-equal status. All quoted prices must be all-inclusive—incorporating delivery, shipping, fuel surcharges, and insurance fees—with no additional charges permitted.

Suppliers must be registered with the Georgia Department of Revenue, current on all tax payments, and registered with the Georgia Secretary of State Office. No bonds or insurance are required. Suppliers may submit early payment discounts as separate documentation. Awards exceeding $100,000 require verification of sales and use tax compliance, non-debarred status on state and federal lists, eVerify requirements, and the Anti-Boycott of Israel Certification.

The apparent successful offeror was Dana Safety Supply Inc at $249,996.00; West Chatham Warning Devices Inc submitted an unsuccessful bid of $296,768.00.
