About this file
This is a Notice of Intent to Award issued by the Georgia Department of Public Safety for an open agency contract to procure push bumpers for Dodge Durango vehicles. The solicitation (46600-DPS0000261) closed on December 27, 2021, and the Notice of Intent to Award was posted on February 10, 2022. The contract is for a one-year term with four optional one-year renewal periods. The Georgia Department of Public Safety requires approximately 350 push bumpers immediately upon contract award, though yearly quantities are estimates only and purchases depend on funding availability and the number of Dodge Durangos acquired annually. No quantity is guaranteed. The procurement accepts SETINA brand bumpers or approved equal alternatives; suppliers bidding alternative brands must submit manufacturer specifications for DPS review and may be required to provide a sample bumper system for testing and delivery to the DPS Garage at 959 United Avenue SE, Atlanta, Georgia 30316 within 5-7 business days at no cost to the state.
Dana Safety Supply Inc was selected as the apparent successful offeror with an estimated award amount of $249,996.00 for the open agency contract. West Chatham Warning Devices submitted an unsuccessful bid of $296,768.00 and was rejected as not being the low bid. All quoted prices must include delivery, shipping, fuel surcharges, and insurance fees with no additional charges permitted. Suppliers must be registered with the Georgia Department of Revenue, current with tax payments, and registered with the Georgia Secretary of State Office. No bonds or insurance are required. Suppliers may submit early payment discounts as separate documentation. All protests must be submitted electronically to doas.protests@doas.ga.gov in accordance with the Georgia Procurement Manual.
