About this opportunity

The City of Bradenton, Florida, issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) on April 2, 2026, seeking qualified proposers to provide professional continuing services in landscape architecture on an as-needed basis. The procurement aims to establish a Professional Services Library from which the City will select qualified contractors to provide landscape architectural planning, design, permitting, and construction services through individual task orders as projects are identified throughout the year. Qualified proposers must be registered with the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation and must have at least one key personnel member who is a licensed landscape architect in Florida. The scope of work encompasses landscape master planning, urban design, sustainable site design, parks and playground planning, streetscape design, and related landscape architectural services. Evaluation will be based on 35 points for ability of professional personnel and experience, 40 points for past performance and relevant project experience, and 25 points for project approach and management techniques. Proposers must submit proposals electronically through OpenGov by April 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with an evaluation meeting scheduled for May 14, 2026, short-listed proposer presentations on May 26, 2026, and anticipated contract award on July 22, 2026. Required proposal submissions include completed forms and certifications, professional licenses, resumes of key personnel, up to five sample projects completed within the past ten years, current workload information, and detailed project approach documentation.

The RFQ documentation does not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for particular organization types. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the procurement notice. Proposers must maintain commercial general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence and workers' compensation coverage during contract performance. The contract will be continuing in nature with no predetermined end date, though individual task orders will specify completion timeframes for specific projects. No specific award value or budget range is provided in the available procurement documents, as compensation will be determined on a task order basis as work is assigned throughout the contract term.
