Procurement and installation of a monitored pulse fence detection system at the tdcj mcconnell unit.

The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is seeking bids for the procurement and installation of a monitored pulse fence detection system at the TDCJ McConnell Unit. The project involves providing and installing a new non-lethal electric fence (NLEF) system with controls, wiring, power, fiber optic cable, monitoring, and mounting hardware. The vendor will also be required to incorporate the existing 12-Building Gallagher stun fence into the new NLEF system, or replace it if not operational. The vendor must calibrate and test the NLEF system upon installation to ensure proper operation. TDCJ personnel will provide access to the work area and any other needed support to the vendor for project completion. Detailed technical specifications for the products, materials, equipment, and field services required are provided in the solicitation.

The solicitation does not mention any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There is also no information provided about any incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The total value of the contract is not explicitly stated, but the project appears to be for a single installation at the McConnell Unit, with no mention of renewal options.
