About this opportunity
The state of Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) is seeking a vendor certified in conducting Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) audits to complete new PREA audits at three IDJJ youth offender facilities. The selected vendor will work with IDJJ staff and youth to conduct the audit process in three phases - pre-audit, audit, and post-audit. The auditor(s) must spend at least five working days on-site per medium-sized facility and verify any corrective action plans within 180 days of the initial audit. IDJJ will determine the audit schedule and facilities to be audited, and reserves the right to request additional PREA audit services during the contract period. The vendor should factor in all travel and per diem costs needed to fulfill the contract, and IDJJ will provide security for the contractor's employees and agents. Upon completion, the vendor shall provide a final report of the certified audit to IDJJ.
There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond to this opportunity. IDJJ has not provided any information about incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor any details on existing infrastructure or technology that may require integration. The contract value or budget range has also not been specified.
