About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking a purchase order for blue light fixtures and related installation services across multiple transit facilities in the Dallas metropolitan area. The procurement involves the installation of 38 Passenger Emergency Communications (PEC) devices at 20 different locations, including West Transit Center, Rosa Parks Plaza, Forest Lane, Inwood/Love Field, and numerous other transit stations. The project requires four distinct PEC types: Type 1 towers with solar panels and strobe/keypad functionality, Type 2 towers without solar panels, Type 3 wall-mounted phones, and Type 4 platform-mounted towers with line connections. The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive site work, including engineering design, foundation preparation, concrete work, conduit installation, electrical provisioning, and paver reinstallation. The procurement is structured with a posted date of December 15, 2025, and a response deadline of December 19, 2025, with Bonfire registration required to access complete bid details. Strict delivery terms are emphasized, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules potentially resulting in order rejection and default termination.
The procurement does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises based on the provided documentation. DART will supply all emergency phone stations and cellular devices, while the selected contractor must ensure all work complies with city, federal, and local standards, with engineering drawings subject to DART's review and approval. The purchase order includes specific technical requirements, such as installing reinforced concrete bases meeting 4000 PSI specifications and providing 120V power supply with precise voltage and connector specifications. Payment terms are Net 30, with invoices to be submitted to APInvoices@dart.org and requiring detailed documentation including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, and pricing. While specific budget ranges are not detailed in the provided documents, the comprehensive nature of the installation project suggests a potentially substantial contract value covering engineering, installation, and electrical infrastructure work across multiple transit locations.
