About this opportunity

The Nevada Department of Transportation is seeking competitive pricing for a one-year open-term contract for patching mix, asphalt, concrete, and cement in the Elko area, with bids due August 14, 2026 through the NevadaEPro electronic procurement platform. Bids are restricted to products listed in Section 625.02.04 of the 2014 Edition of the Nevada Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and the Department's Qualified Product List (QPL) — a specification gate that filters supplier eligibility.

Nevada-based businesses certifying that a majority of goods are produced in Nevada receive a five percent preference. An additional five percent preference applies to local businesses owned and operated by veterans with service-connected disabilities for contracts valued between $50,000 and $500,000.

While primarily for use by the Nevada Department of Transportation, the contract may serve the Nevada State Purchasing Division, other state agencies, cities, counties, and political subdivisions as needed. The State reserves the right to extend the contract year-to-year provided there are no price increases, changes in terms, awardee agreement, and State determination that extension serves its best interest. Pricing is FOB Destination, freight prepaid, and does not include applicable federal or state sales, use, or excise taxes. Payment is made within 30 to 45 days upon invoice receipt and using agency approval.

Price increases are not honored during the contract term. Vendors unable to honor their bid price due to supplier cost increases must request contract cancellation in writing, after which the State will award to the next lowest bidder. Weight slips must be provided at material pickup or delivery. Either party may cancel items with 15 days' written notice for cause, including changes in manufacturer pricing, freight rate increases, or poor delivery. Deviations from specifications must be clearly identified on a separate sheet attached to the bid.
