About this opportunity

The State of Maine is soliciting bids on one hydraulic breaker attachment (hammer) compatible with a BOBCAT 220 skid steer loader, with bids due August 5, 2010.

The hammer must deliver a minimum of 500 foot-pounds of energy per blow with variable operational capacity of 600 to 1000 blows per minute. Required features include automatic lubrication, a chisel point tool, dry-fire capability without damage, and full rebuild capability. The unit must be quick-attachable and fully compatible with the BOBCAT 220 hydraulic system and its mounting frame.

Bids must be submitted electronically to the State of Maine Division of Purchases, Room 119, State Office Building, Augusta, Maine. Bidders must submit unit prices for the quantity specified and prepay all transportation charges unless otherwise stated. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to increase or decrease quantities by up to ten percent. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value considerations, including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost to the State. In the event of tie bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. Bidders may propose alternate commodities equal in quality and performance to the specified item, with complete identification and descriptive literature required for any alternates. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; bids should exclude these taxes.
