About this opportunity
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District has issued a Request for Information (RFI #2025-01) seeking qualified mobile medical service providers to perform comprehensive annual physical examinations for approximately 175 firefighters in compliance with 2013 NFPA 1582 standards. The procurement specifically requires a provider capable of conducting medical evaluations directly on District property, with a strong preference for a self-contained mobile medical unit that can minimize disruption to fire station operations. In addition to the comprehensive firefighter physicals, the contract will also include limited medical screenings for 40-50 paramedics and EMT personnel. The solicitation is being managed through the District's PlanetBids electronic bidding platform, with vendors required to register to receive notifications and submit questions. The key procurement dates include a posting date of February 12, 2025, and a response due date of February 25, 2025. Providers must demonstrate the ability to perform mobile medical services with minimal operational impact and full compliance with established occupational health standards for emergency service personnel.
The District offers bid preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses, suggesting potential set-aside opportunities for qualifying organizations. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, the scope suggests a moderately sized medical services contract covering annual physical examinations for approximately 175-225 emergency service personnel. Vendors must register through the PlanetBids platform to participate, which is free and designed to ensure transparency and fair competition. No incumbent vendor information is provided in the solicitation documents. The procurement appears structured to maximize flexibility for medical service providers while maintaining strict compliance with professional medical screening standards for emergency service personnel. Interested providers will need to demonstrate mobile medical capabilities, understanding of NFPA 1582 standards, and ability to conduct comprehensive health assessments efficiently on-site.

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District ("District") is seeking information from qualified mobile medical service providers ("Provider") to perform comprehensive annual physical examinations for approximately 175 firefighters to comply with the 2013 edition of NFPA 1582 standards. The exact number will vary depending on the current employment levels of the District Fire Department.
The District is also requesting information for limited medical screenings of paramedics and EMT personnel. There are approximately 40 to 50 employees that qualify for this screening.
Mobile service is defined as the ability of the Provider to conduct the vast majority of, preferably all aspects and elements of, the examinations and screenings on District property. The District's preference is for the Provider to utilize a medical mobile unit which would minimize the need / impact to use Fire Station locations. Example: entirely mobile exam rooms and self-contained mobile medical unit
