About this opportunity

The State of Nevada, through the Nevada Department of Administration Purchasing Division on behalf of the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC), is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Ombudsperson Services. The State is seeking a qualified vendor to provide all services outlined in the Scope of Work, which include serving as an independent and impartial Ombudsperson to investigate and respond to complaints, concerns, and grievances from incarcerated individuals within NDOC facilities. The contract is expected to be for a term of 18 months, from August 14, 2024 to January 31, 2026. Proposals are due by June 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm, and the evaluation criteria include Demonstrated Competence, Experience in Performance of Comparable Engagements, Conformance with the Terms of the RFP, Expertise and Availability of Key Personnel, and Cost Factor.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The State will apply a 5% preference to Nevada-based businesses and may apply an inverse preference to vendors with a principal place of business in a state that applies an in-state preference not afforded to Nevada-based vendors. The RFP does not provide information about incumbent vendors or contractors, existing infrastructure, or the expected award value or budget range. However, the State has completed the evaluation process and intends to award the contract to Sabot Technologies, Inc.
