About this opportunity
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management is soliciting bids for the plugging and remediation of two orphan wells located in Plain and Middleton townships in Wood County, Ohio. This procurement requires comprehensive well abandonment services including mobilization, site access development, drilling or cleaning out of wells, plugging operations, decommissioning, and removal and disposal of all casing, tubing, well equipment, production equipment, and affiliated lines, with complete restoration of disturbed areas. Bidders must be active on a CSP900922 contract (DAS Index No. MAC110) and are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site visit scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the Shuerman Sites location (coordinates 41.389470, -83.416331), where Wood 10 and Wood 11 wells will be conducted as a single pre-bid event. The bid due date is April 2, 2026, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State. To be eligible for award consideration, suppliers must have completed the required pre-bid meeting and maintain good standing with all other Division and Agency projects. Bidders are encouraged to review all requirements and attachments related to this sourcing event, including the detailed Scope of Work document.
This procurement opportunity is restricted to suppliers already active on the statewide CSP900922 contract, which effectively limits competition to pre-qualified vendors on this master agreement. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other protected classifications are mentioned in the available documentation. The opportunity does not identify any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it reference existing infrastructure or technology requiring integration. No award value or budget range is disclosed in the posting materials, suggesting that pricing will be determined solely through competitive bidding among eligible contractors. Prospective bidders should contact the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil & Gas Resources Management for additional details regarding the scope of work, technical specifications, and any other requirements necessary to prepare a complete and competitive proposal.
