About this opportunity

Louisville Regional Airport Authority is requesting proposals for occupational health services at Louisville International Airport and Bowman Field, with proposals due August 12, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. ET and questions due August 3, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. ET.

The scope encompasses pre-employment screenings, drug and alcohol testing (including random and post-accident), physical examinations, fitness-for-duty evaluations, medical records review, workers' compensation case management, and return-to-work assessments for approximately 150 employees across various shifts including 24-hour and alternative schedules. Proposers must demonstrate a minimum of five years of experience providing occupational health services and the ability to accommodate all employee shifts; service locations should preferably be within 15 miles of Authority facilities. The Authority spent approximately $40,000 on occupational health services in the past 12 months and does not guarantee the frequency of service requests.

Pricing is submitted on a line-item basis for specific services via Proposal Pricing Form (Attachment A). The initial contract term is three years, with two optional one-year renewal periods available upon mutual consent. Proposals must be submitted via www.flylouisvillebids.com.

A bid bond or bank letter of credit of $10,000 is required at proposal submission. The successful proposer must furnish an annual performance bond of $40,000, professional liability insurance of $1,000,000, and public liability insurance of $2,000,000 naming the Authority as an additional insured. Liquidated damages of $100 per hour apply for failure to provide services within 30 minutes of scheduled appointments and for late submission of screening results (capped at eight hours per day). The Authority anticipates issuing a Notice of Award within 30 calendar days from proposal due date, with 14 calendar days for the successful proposer to execute the agreement. Monthly invoices are due within 30 days of invoice date.
