Parts pricing must address Like Kind Quality, aftermarket, and OEM parts; specialized radiator repair and fire pump analysis also require separate pricing. Salvaged parts are prohibited for safety-related items including engines, transmissions, pumps, and related electronic components. All repairs must be performed when the cost to repair is less than the cost of parts and replacement, unless otherwise requested by the Fire Line Supervisor. Miscellaneous items and services not listed may be purchased in amounts not exceeding $2,000 per order.
The contract term is two years with options to renew for three additional one-year periods, not to exceed five years total. Pricing must remain firm for the contract term unless the City provides for adjustment. The City will pay based on services rendered within 30 calendar days of invoice receipt. Awarded contractors must provide a one-year unconditional guarantee on all parts, materials, labor, and workmanship and maintain certificates of insurance naming the City as an additional insured. The Equal Benefits Ordinance applies to contracts valued at $100,000 or more. Questions are due February 5, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with City responses posted by February 11, 2025.
