About this opportunity
The County of Orange, California, OC Public Works, is requesting competitive bids for 19 new or unused 2024 Ford Bronco Outer Banks vehicles in white, with bids due December 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. through the County's online bidding system — note that the posted date is August 14, 2026, but the due date in the source document is December 3, 2024, which appears to be a data inconsistency; treat the December 3 date as stated in the IFB attachment as controlling. A preference is available for Orange County Local Small Businesses (OCLSB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) meeting state certification requirements and maintaining principal operations within Orange County.
Vehicles must be new, completely factory-assembled with no dealer-level modifications, painted Oxford White, and equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost gasoline engine, 4WD drivetrain, and 10-speed automatic transmission. Delivery to OC Fleet Services at 1102 East Fruit Street, Santa Ana, California, within 240 days of contract issuance is required, with five working days' notice and no deliveries accepted on Mondays or Fridays. The County reserves the right to request a demonstration vehicle for testing, with the manufacturer bearing all damage liability. All vehicles must include manufacturer's standard warranty, complete new-vehicle make-ready servicing, and a pre-delivery inspection checklist.
The total contract amount does not exceed $80,000. Bid pricing must be firm, include all applicable fees, shipping, and assembly costs with no additional compensation allowed, and remain valid for 365 days after bid closing. Prevailing wages apply to all work performed on County property. Questions are due November 25, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Contractors must be registered with OpenGov, provide valid D-U-N-S and UEI numbers prior to award, submit W-9 or W-8 within ten days of award notification, and provide proof of Commercial General Liability insurance (minimum $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate), Automobile Liability, and Workers Compensation coverage from A.M. Best-rated A-/VIII carriers within seven days of award recommendation. The County awards to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and reserves the right to make multiple awards or reject any or all bids.
