About this opportunity

Belknap County Commissioners' Office in New Hampshire is issuing a Request for Proposal for flooring installation services at the Belknap County Sheriff's Office. The project scope encompasses removal of existing flooring materials and installation of new carpet tile and associated finishes in designated work areas, including 10 offices and 2 entry areas, with specific material requirements including Mohawk Industries Surface Stitch Carpet Tile in Fission color for offices and Mannington Commercial Sanford walk-off carpet tile for entry areas. Additional work includes installation of 4.5-inch cove base at perimeter walls and transition strips at doorways and flooring type changes, with all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals to be furnished by the contractor. Floor preparation is limited to light work such as scraping adhesive residue, minor patching and leveling, and surface cleaning, with notification and additional pricing required for unforeseen conditions. The contractor must ensure proper alignment and seam installation using manufacturer-recommended adhesives and installation systems, remove all debris daily, and deliver attic stock of a minimum 5 percent of each product type upon project completion. Proposals must be submitted to the Board of Commissioners at 34 County Drive, Laconia, New Hampshire 03246, or via email to Jon Bossey, Facilities Director, by 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. The contractor must provide a manufacturer's standard commercial warranty for carpet tile materials and a minimum one-year workmanship warranty from the date of substantial completion, and work shall be performed with minimal disruption as the building will remain occupied during construction.

The Request for Proposal does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, nor does it identify any disadvantaged enterprise requirements or incumbent vendors. No existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements are indicated in the project scope. The proposal documents do not provide a specific award value or budget range for this flooring installation project. The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals and to cancel the request at any time for any reason.
