About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotations for refrigeration equipment and installation at Maine State Prison, with quotations due December 27, 2012, and a mandatory walk-through on December 18 at 9:00 a.m. at the facility.
The scope encompasses furnishing and installing one Bally indoor walk-in cooler measuring approximately 14' x 18' x 8'2" (without floor) and converting an existing cooler to a freezer. The vendor must provide and install interconnecting piping between condensing units and coolers/freezers, with hangers spaced approximately 6 feet apart per Copeland Handbook Standards, using 15% silver brazing alloy. The freezer conversion requires one Trenton Model TESA040L6HT3BF condensing unit and one Trenton TLP52LES2B evaporator coil, including valves, temperature control, and drier sight glass. The condensing unit will be placed outdoors at ground level; the evaporator coil will be hung inside the facility. All piping must be properly insulated, and systems must be charged to proper pressure and temperature with controls set accordingly. Pricing includes delivery, setup, all installation labor, and system startup.
Quotations must be submitted electronically through the State of Maine's Vendor Self Service (VSS) platform by 2:00 p.m. local time on December 27. Award will be based on lowest priced conforming quotation or a combination of factors including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery time, and ultimate cost to the State, with price receiving a minimum of 25% weight. All purchases are FOB Destination; the State is exempt from federal and state taxes. Standard payment terms are net 30 from receipt of correct invoice. Questions may be posted through the VSS Question and Answer link. Contact Pete Warman at 207-273-5530 or 207-273-5532 for walk-through directions and additional information.
