About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting quotes on NCAT Asphalt Content Furnaces and accessory packages for the Maine Department of Transportation Materials Testing program, with quotes due October 25, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
The procurement covers two furnace models with distinct electrical specifications: Model #F85938 (208 Volts, 23 Amps) for delivery to MDOT Materials Testing in Bangor, and Model #F85930 (220/240 Volts) for delivery to MDOT Regional Lab in Freeport. Each furnace includes one Accessory Package #AY1087X1 containing four baskets, two trays, two covers, a handle, cooling cage, insulated plate, gloves, face shield, four rolls of printer tape, balance calibration plate, and Anderol Oil.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to the State, with consideration given to product quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. In case of tie bids, preference is given to in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine. Pricing must be submitted as separate unit prices delivered to destination, including all applicable discounts and prepaid transportation charges. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in bid evaluation; shorter discounts will not factor into award decisions. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes, and quotes should reflect this exemption. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive formalities and technicalities, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise specified.
Inquiries should be directed to Lita C. DeSanctis, Buyer II, State of Maine Division of Purchases, 9 State House Station, Burton M. Cross Building, 4th Floor, 111 Sewall Street, Augusta, Maine 04333-0009; telephone 207-624-7337; facsimile 207-287-6578; email lita.c.desanctis@maine.gov.
