About this opportunity

The State of Utah Division of Purchasing and General Services is issuing an RFI (NC27-119) to verify continued qualification of 65 vendors currently listed on the 2026 Rangeland Pre-Qualification List, with responses due October 27, 2026.

The purpose is recertification only — to confirm that existing prequalified contractors maintain qualification to perform the rangeland management services for which they are currently registered. The prequalified list, updated February 3, 2026, covers diverse services including bullhogging, lop and scatter operations, cut and pile work, cut and chip operations, chaining, harrowing, tamarisk and Russian olive removal, and drill seeding, with qualifications differentiated by acreage limitations and geographic scope. Contractors are geographically distributed across Utah, Oregon, Colorado, Idaho, and other states, with no pricing information, contract terms, or funding amounts specified in the reference documents.

Contractors must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance of not less than $1 million per occurrence and $3 million aggregate, plus workers' compensation at statutory limits and Commercial Automobile Liability of $1 million per occurrence if vehicles are used. All services are warranted for one year to perform according to specifications, with the contractor obligated to repair or replace defective work at no cost within ten days of notification. Utah-based employees must comply with E-Verify. The State reserves the right to terminate for convenience with thirty days' written notice or for cause after ten days to cure. All disputes are governed by Utah law and venue is established in Salt Lake County's Third Judicial District Court.

Vendors may submit claims of business confidentiality for trade secrets and commercial financial information under Utah Code 63G-2-305 and 63G-2-309, provided they submit both redacted and non-redacted versions concurrently with their responses.
