About this opportunity
The State of Rhode Island's Division of Purchases is seeking vendors for Master Price Agreement (MPA) 506, an open enrollment solicitation for seasonal equipment procurement, maintenance, and repair services. The procurement covers a comprehensive range of landscaping, snow removal, and maintenance equipment including tractors, attachments, ride-on mowing equipment, trailers, chippers, pressure washers, chain saws, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and snow blowers. Vendors must register in the Ocean State Procures system and submit a Vendor Certification Questionnaire to be considered for the qualified vendors list. The solicitation is open from August 25, 2025, to September 22, 2025, with a vendor Q&A period running from August 25 to September 15, 2025. The state will review this open enrollment opportunity quarterly and reserves the right to make one or multiple awards, with agencies issuing specific scopes of work and requesting quotes from qualified vendors when projects arise.
The procurement includes specific set-aside requirements, mandating that at least one quote be obtained from a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Women's Business Enterprise (WBE), or Veteran's Business Enterprise (VBE) vendor. Vendors must maintain required insurance coverage, including liability, workers' compensation, and automobile liability. A 1% contract administrative fee will be collected from awarded vendors, which will be deposited into a restricted receipt account for maintaining the state's eProcurement system. While specific contract values are not explicitly stated, the broad scope of equipment and services suggests potential for significant procurement opportunities across multiple state agencies and maintenance departments. The state's approach allows vendors to submit proposals at any time during the open enrollment period, creating flexibility for potential contractors to join the qualified vendors list throughout the year.
