About this opportunity

The State of Nevada, Department of Wildlife is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide mountain lion removal and live capture services statewide on an as-needed basis. The resulting contract(s) will be for a term of four (4) years anticipated to begin on December 1, 2020, subject to Board of Examiners' approval. The scope of work includes using a combination of mountain lion hounds and foot snares to lethally remove and capture mountain lions for research purposes in the jurisdictions of Washoe County, Carson City, and Reno City. Vendors must provide detailed fixed pricing for all costs associated with the responsibilities and related services, with payment made upon review and acceptance by the State, typically within 45-60 days of receipt of a proper invoice. The RFP requires proposers to submit references, resumes of key personnel, and a detailed cost schedule outlining lethal removal and capture/immobilization costs per mountain lion, as well as other associated costs.

The procurement is not limited to specific hunt unit numbers, but rather the selected candidates will work in specific locations at specific times as determined by the Department. The State intends to award the contract to American Lion Specialists, LLC. All proposals submitted and evaluation scores will be posted and available for viewing or downloading on NevadaEPro.com once the contract is awarded. The State will maintain confidentiality of appropriately labeled proprietary information regarding a trade secret. The successful contractor must comply with various federal funding requirements and provide the required levels of commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation insurance coverage.
