About this file
This document is an amendment to Request for Proposal (RFP) #72DOW-S1271 issued by the State of Nevada Department of Administration Purchasing Division for Mountain Lion Removal and Live Capture Services. The RFP is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide these services statewide, with the selected candidates working in specific locations at specific times as determined by the Department. The RFP was initially released on August 10, 2020, with proposals due by September 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM PT. The resulting contract(s) will be for a term of four (4) years anticipated to begin on December 1, 2020, subject to Board of Examiners' approval.
The amendment clarifies that selected candidates will not be allowed to guide mountain lions at any time while they have a valid mountain lion contract. It also specifies that the contract is not limited to certain hunt unit numbers, but rather the selected candidates will work in specific locations at specific times as determined by the Department. The contract opportunity covers the jurisdictions of Washoe County, Carson City, and Reno City.

The following shall be a part of RFP # 72DOW-S1271. If a vendor has already returned a proposal and any of the information provided below changes that proposal, please submit the changes along with this amendment. You need not re-submit an entire proposal prior to the opening date and time.
Questions and Responses to RFP:
1. State wide contract: Is this a state wide contract or just allocated for certain hunt unit numbers? If its for certain unit numbers can you please let me know what units this is for?
Selected candidates will have the ability to work statewide. However the selected candidates will work only in specific locations at specific times, which will be specified by the Department.
2. Guiding in the State of Nevada with an open contract: In the RFP language it states winning bidders or any of their employees are not allowed to guide mountain lions anywhere in the State of Nevada if there is an active contract anywhere in the state. This language as it is written would most likely exclude my company from the bidding process along with many other bidders. Without any knowledge of the locations or time frame of potential future contracts there is no way to ensure my outfitting business would not conflict with contract dates. I agree there should not be any guiding for lions on any open lion removal or capture contract areas.
Selected candidates will not be allowed to guide mountain lions at any time while they have a valid mountain lion contract.
ALL ELSE REMAINS THE SAME FOR RFP 72DOW-S1271.
