About this opportunity
The Los Angeles County Workforce Development, Aging and Community Services (WDACS) is seeking proposals for its Dispute Resolution Program (DRP) Services through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The DRP aims to provide county residents with an alternative dispute resolution mechanism that avoids traditional court proceedings by utilizing trained volunteers to help disputants resolve conflicts efficiently and cost-effectively. The procurement encompasses three distinct service categories: Community, Day of Hearing Civil Court, and Restorative Justice dispute resolution services. An optional Proposers' Conference is scheduled for Monday, February 11, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at WDACS headquarters, with parking available by reservation. Interested parties must submit their proposals by Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with all questions and communications to be directed via email to drprfp@wdacs.lacounty.gov. Comprehensive RFP details and submission guidelines are available on the WDACS website at https://wdacs.lacounty.gov/doing-business-with-wdacs/rfp/.
While specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are not explicitly outlined in the provided documentation, potential respondents should review the full RFP for potential organizational restrictions or preferences. The RFP suggests that proposing organizations should have demonstrated capabilities in dispute resolution, volunteer training, and community mediation services. No specific incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned, nor are explicit budget ranges or award values provided in the available information. Interested organizations are encouraged to attend the optional Proposers' Conference and review the complete RFP documentation to understand the full scope of requirements, potential integration expectations, and detailed evaluation criteria. The program appears designed to support community-based dispute resolution across Los Angeles County, with an emphasis on providing accessible, low-cost conflict resolution services to residents.
