The contract covers operation of locks that are active year-round, with potential temporary closures for safety reasons. Vendors should be equipped to handle the technical requirements of operating complex water management infrastructure, including managing miter gates and slide gates across three distinct lock locations. The procurement represents a significant opportunity for vendors with specialized expertise in waterway navigation lock management and operations.
