About this opportunity
Renewable Water Resources (ReWa), a special purpose district and political subdivision of South Carolina, is requesting proposals for lime slurry supply at Water Resource Recovery Facilities (WRRFs) and pump stations throughout Greenville County, with proposals due December 4, 2026.
The scope covers delivery and supply of lime slurry, a chemical treatment material used in water treatment processes at multiple regional facilities. Deliveries must meet facility demand throughout the contract period. Vendors must assess delivery logistics and facility requirements; site visits are available. A bidders' conference may be scheduled to address technical specifications and questions.
The contract will have an initial term with optional one-year renewal extensions up to a maximum total duration of seven years. All installation and delivery costs must be included in a total contract price not to exceed an amount to be specified in individual project instances. Pricing proposals must detail delivery charges, material costs, and any volume-based pricing structures.
Contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance: worker's compensation, general liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence ($2,000,000 aggregate), automobile liability of $1,000,000, umbrella liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence, cyber insurance of $1,000,000, and crime insurance of $500,000 per incident. Liquidated damages for delays in completing scheduled work phases are $50 per calendar day, or alternatively $500 per day reduction in amounts due. Contractors must comply with South Carolina Illegal Immigration Reform Act requirements, including E-Verify authorization verification for all new employees.
ReWa maintains a sales tax exemption on machines and equipment used in treatment and conveyance processes. The contract may include small business set-asides or local vendor preferences per South Carolina regulations. Funding derives from the state's water resource management budget allocated for chemical supplies and treatment materials.
