About this opportunity

The City of South Jordan in Salt Lake County, Utah, is seeking to procure advanced water line leak detection equipment, specifically targeting the Sewerin SeCorrPhon AC 200 Leak Detection Unit. The procurement is designed to enhance municipal infrastructure monitoring capabilities by acquiring high-performance leak detection technology. The city has identified this specific equipment as superior to alternative options and is inviting potential vendors to demonstrate equipment with equal or superior performance capabilities. The contract opportunity was posted on September 3, 2025, with a proposal submission deadline of September 6, 2025. Interested vendors are required to contact the Purchasing Coordinator directly to present alternative equipment that meets or exceeds the specified performance standards. The primary evaluation criteria will focus on technical capabilities, leak detection accuracy, and comparative performance metrics against the Sewerin unit.

While no specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are explicitly stated, the procurement appears open to competitive vendors capable of meeting technical specifications. The city seems to be leaving room for potential alternative vendors by encouraging submissions of comparable leak detection equipment. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the procurement documentation. The current procurement appears to be a direct equipment purchase with potential for vendor demonstration and technical validation. The technology being sought is intended to integrate with existing municipal water infrastructure monitoring systems, suggesting that compatibility and seamless implementation will be important considerations for potential vendors. The procurement represents a targeted municipal investment in advanced infrastructure monitoring technology.
