About this opportunity
The City of Waco is requesting bids for landfill leachate hauling services with bids due August 14, 2026. The contractor shall provide labor, transportation, equipment, materials, permits, and supplies to transport leachate from the City-operated solid waste landfill (MSW 2400) at 4730 TK Parkway, Axtell, Texas to the City-operated Central Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1147 Treatment Plant Road, Waco, Texas—a one-way distance of 20.6 miles.
Services include loading, transportation, and unloading of leachate from the landfill's collection and storage system to the designated treatment facility. The contractor must perform hauling Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pricing shall be based on a per-load rate for full loads only. The City will not pay for underfilled loads or transportation charges based on incomplete loads. Partial loads are compensated at a pro-rated rate only with prior written approval from the Landfill Manager and only when transporting a full load is not possible because pickup completely empties the on-site storage tank.
