About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on LCD projectors, with bids due September 8, 2010. An in-state vendor preference applies — the Division reserves the right to resolve tie bids by awarding to in-state bidders or those offering Maine-produced commodities.
The specified model is the Epson EX51 XGA, a business-class LCD 3-chip projector with native XGA resolution (1024 × 768 pixels) capable of projecting 30–300 inches diagonally. The projector delivers 2,500 lumens brightness, 2000:1 contrast ratio, digital keystone correction (automatic and manual), manual zoom and focus (1× to 1.2× optical zoom), and comprehensive connectivity including HDMI, S-video, component video, composite video, and RCA audio inputs, plus two USB ports. The 200W UHE lamp operates up to 4,000 hours in normal mode or 5,000 hours in ECO mode. The device is compatible with both PC and Mac systems. Standard inclusions are power cable, VGA computer cable, USB cable, soft carrying case, remote control (operational to 19 feet), PrivateLine support card, owner's manual, Kensington-style lock provision, one-year limited warranty on parts and labor, and 90-day limited warranty on the lamp. Physical dimensions are 11.6 inches wide, 9.0 inches deep, 3.1 inches high, weighing 5.1 pounds.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item, delivered to destination with all discounts included. All transportation charges are prepaid by the contractor. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State sales and use taxes, which must not be included in bids. Cash discounts are considered only if payment terms exceed 20 days. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value, considering quality, conformity with specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities and technicalities, and adjust quantities by up to 10 percent.
