About this opportunity
Lamar Community College, located in Lakewood City and Prowers County, Colorado, is soliciting quotes through a Documented Quote (DQ) process for the LCC16-05 Dormitory Building B Structured Cabling Project. The procurement seeks a qualified vendor to provide, install, test, and certify comprehensive structured cabling infrastructure for the college's new dormitory facility. The scope of work includes installation of 24-strand single-mode fiber optic cabling (approximately 180 feet in existing conduit and 100 feet open inside buildings) between Todd-Burch Resident Hall and Dormitory Building B, with termination at wall-mounted fiber enclosures featuring LC connectors, as well as a copper cabling system consisting of 32 CAT6A cables with dual terminations per room, a 48-port patch panel, RJ-45 keystones wall plates, and 3-foot patch cables. All materials must be ETL Verified to ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 CAT6A and C.3 specifications, installed per BISCI and TIA guidelines, and tested to 10Gbps performance standards. The vendor must provide comprehensive test results and certification documentation and register a minimum 20-year manufacturer's warranty covering all components and channel performance, with no charges to the college for warranty repairs or replacements. Quotes must be submitted by June 1, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. to the college's Business Office via fax at (719) 336-5626 or by mail to 2401 S. Main, Lamar, CO 81052, with project completion required by June 30, 2016. Vendors must respond to all specifications using the Vendor Response Form (Exhibit 1), submit a completed W-9 form (Exhibit 2), and provide detailed product descriptions; interested vendors should direct inquiries to Accounting Technician Ava Bair at (719) 336-1574 or ava.bair@lamarcc.edu.
All vendors must be registered with the State of Colorado Vendor Self Service System (VSS) at www.colorado.gov/vss to be considered responsive, though the college reserves discretion to accept quotes from non-registered vendors if adequate competition is not demonstrated. Vendors classified as small business, minority business, women-owned business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business enterprises must provide appropriate documentation with their proposals. The award will be made on an "all or none" basis, requiring vendors to quote on all specified items, with quotes submitted on a FOB Destination basis and payment terms of at least NET 30 days. Lamar Community College will apply State of Colorado Purchase Order Terms & Conditions and special provisions to any resulting contract and reserves the right to reject any or all bids and award in its best interest. The procurement documentation does not identify any incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specified budget range for this project. The structured cabling infrastructure must integrate with existing building entry points, electrical systems, and room-level installations documented in the provided electrical drawings and fiber optic photographic records from Todd-Burch Resident Hall.
