About this file

This is a structured cabling specification document for Lamar Community College's Dormitory Building B project. The vendor will provide, install, test, and certify comprehensive networking infrastructure including fiber optic and copper cabling systems. The fiber optic component requires installation of 24-strand single-mode fiber between Todd-Burch Resident Hall and Dormitory Building B (approximately 180 feet in existing conduit and 100 feet open inside buildings), with termination at wall-mounted fiber enclosures (2-panel at Todd-Burch Hall and 4-panel at Dormitory Building B) using LC connectors. The copper system involves installation of 32 CAT6A cables with two terminations per room, a 48-port patch panel, wall plates with RJ-45 keystones, and 3-foot patch cables. All cabling and components must be ETL Verified to ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 CAT6A and C.3 specifications, installed according to BISCI and TIA guidelines, and tested to 10Gbps performance standards. The project completion deadline is June 30, 2016, with Lamar Community College providing five business days' notice before the available start date.

The vendor must provide test results and certification documentation to Lamar Community College and register a minimum 20-year manufacturer's warranty covering all components and channel performance to applicable specifications, with no charges to the college for warranty repairs or replacements. The specification document does not contain information regarding pricing terms, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or other financial requirements.
