About this opportunity
CalRecycle is conducting a Request for Quotation (RFQ) DRR25034 for landfill, disposal site, and waste tire site remediation services in Southern California, targeting counties including San Luis Obispo, Kern, San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono, as well as several specific cities and census-designated places. The primary objective is to secure a contractor capable of performing remediation at solid waste disposal sites, illegal disposal sites, waste tire sites, and emergency disaster debris cleanup locations on an as-needed basis. The selected contractor will be required to serve as a backup for environmental services contractors in other California geographic areas and potentially work outside the primary service region if resources are unavailable. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the Vendor Submission Portal at https://sb.cityinnovate.com/teams/calrecycle, with the solicitation due date set for January 12, 2026. Interested vendors must complete all required documents in the portal and register before submission, with technical questions directed to Melissa Atencio at (916) 341-6544 or contracts@calrecycle.ca.gov.
No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or incumbent vendor information are explicitly detailed in the provided documentation. The solicitation does not outline specific award values, budget ranges, or precise contractor qualifications beyond the remediation service capabilities. Potential bidders should carefully review the full solicitation documents in the Vendor Submission Portal for comprehensive details on organizational requirements, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria. The contract appears designed to establish a flexible, on-call remediation service for various waste management and cleanup scenarios across Southern California, with the potential for statewide deployment based on resource availability. Interested contractors should closely examine the technical requirements and be prepared to demonstrate expertise in environmental remediation, waste site management, and emergency response capabilities.
