About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) has initiated a procurement opportunity for X-Acto knives, identified by solicitation number 2096940, with proposals due on December 17, 2025. The contract requires mandatory registration through the Bonfire platform to access complete bid details and vendor response fields. Vendors must submit bids reflecting FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs included in the overall price, adhering to DART's specific procurement guidelines. The procurement emphasizes strict delivery performance, with time and rate of deliveries considered essential to the order, and potential for default termination if delivery schedules are not met. Invoicing requirements are comprehensive, mandating submission of triplicate invoices to APInvoices@dart.org that include detailed information such as purchase order number, item number, description, sizes, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Payment terms are established as Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt or order completion.
The contract appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types, maintaining an open competitive environment. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the opportunity is governed by Texas law with venue in Dallas County, and requires vendor certification of compliance with Texas Comptroller requirements and non-boycott of Israel. Vendors must provide commercial quality supplies and offer their most favorable commercial warranties. The procurement allows DART to terminate the contract for default or convenience at its discretion. Although a specific award value is not explicitly stated in the provided documentation, the opportunity is for X-Acto knives, suggesting a potential supply contract with flexibility for ongoing procurement needs. Interested vendors must carefully review the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document and follow the Bonfire platform's submission process to participate in this solicitation.
