About this opportunity
The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, is issuing Invitation for Bids (IFB 2026-005) for preventative maintenance services on a Kluge EHD 14x22 Press Machine located at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse. The procurement seeks a qualified vendor to provide two annual inspections, technical telephone support, labor and travel costs, thorough machine inspection, cleaning and lubrication of essential parts, replacement of Court-approved parts, complete performance evaluations with yearly summary reports, and emergency repair services scheduled within one business day of request. All pricing must be all-inclusive with the exception of applicable taxes, quotes must be for new products only (used or refurbished items will not be accepted), and alternate brands will not be accepted. Vendors must submit all required documentation and responses through the Court's Bonfire online procurement platform by the specified due date of May 13, 2026, and must meet minimum requirements including Workers' Compensation/Employer's Liability insurance, Commercial General Liability coverage of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million annual aggregate, and Commercial Automobile Liability insurance. The contractor must be capable of commencing services within thirty days of the Effective Date, with an expected service commencement date of July 1, 2026, and vendors must complete the Capabilities Questionnaire with any "No" response resulting in automatic disqualification. The Notice of Intent to Award is estimated for May 2026, and all bids must remain valid for 90 days from submission.
The Court offers a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) preference that reduces qualifying bids by 3 percent of the lowest responsible bid, not to exceed $5,000, for evaluation purposes only. Vendors must disclose any use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in their services or deliverables that materially impact Court system functionality, risk, or contract performance, with failure to disclose potentially resulting in disqualification. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the solicitation documents. The Court reserves the right to award multiple contracts to different vendors with no minimum procurement obligation under any awarded contract, and award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor. Vendors must accept all Court standard contract terms and conditions as outlined in the Model Agreement (2026-03), which establishes comprehensive contractual obligations including insurance requirements, payment procedures, termination rights, and compliance with the Court's Standard Business Terms and Conditions 5.0. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the available solicitation documents.
