About this opportunity
The City of Kissimmee Parks & Recreation Department is seeking promoters to host cultural, educational, music, and art festivals at the Kissimmee Lakefront Park for the 2025 calendar year. This Request for Information (RFI) specifically targets event proposals for May, August, and September 2025, with the goal of creating an annual Lakefront Park Events & Festivals calendar. Interested parties must submit comprehensive proposals to Matt Libby by 5:00 p.m. on October 18, 2024, including detailed event descriptions, marketing plans, expected participant numbers, and professional references. The evaluation process will utilize a 100-point scoring system with four key categories: Organization & Experience (50 points), Event Revenue & Economic Impact (25 points), Marketing (15 points), and Collaboration (10 points). Proposals will be critically assessed based on organizational history, potential local economic impact, marketing strategies, and ability to collaborate with non-profit groups or local vendors.
The RFI does not explicitly mention specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. The City of Kissimmee reserves the right to accept or reject proposals based on the city's best interests, with a particular focus on event diversity and ensuring no similar events are awarded within a 45-day window. While no specific budget range or award values are explicitly stated, the procurement process suggests the city is seeking to maximize economic and cultural impact through these festival opportunities. The selection process appears open to various types of promoters and organizations capable of demonstrating strong event management capabilities, local engagement, and potential economic benefits to the Kissimmee community. Interested parties should prepare detailed proposals that showcase their expertise in event planning, marketing, and community collaboration.
