About this opportunity
Cherokee County, Georgia is soliciting competitive proposals for a comprehensive surveillance system upgrade at the Cherokee County Justice Center located at 90 North Street, Canton, Georgia. This procurement requires the installation of a Vicon Surveillance System that includes removal of existing analog cameras, installation of over 100 new surveillance cameras, programming software, Cat 6E data cable, associated components, ancillary hardware, trims, sealants, cable continuity testing, new schematic drawings, and firestopping. The project scope is detailed in Exhibit "A" of the Request for Proposal (RFP), and all procurement documents are available through BidNet Direct at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/private/buyer/solicitations/3222294658/preview. Prospective vendors must register on BidNet to access and download RFP materials; registration can be completed through Cherokee County's website by selecting the free vendor package and ensuring the "Stand out from the competition" adder is disabled. The RFP was posted on August 10, 2023, with a proposal submission deadline of September 8, 2023.
The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendors, or award value ranges in the information provided. Vendors responding to this opportunity should note that successful integration with existing infrastructure at the Justice Center will be required, as the project involves upgrading from an existing analog camera system to a modern Vicon platform. The RFP documents, accessible through BidNet, presumably contain additional evaluation criteria, technical specifications, and any other requirements necessary for proposal preparation. Interested contractors should register promptly to allow adequate time for document review before the September 8, 2023 deadline.
