About this opportunity
The state of Illinois, through the Department of Central Management Services (CMS), is procuring a one-year Joint Purchase Master Contract (JPMC) for secure document destruction and shredding services. The contract will be awarded to Clay County Rehabilitation Services, a qualified not-for-profit agency for persons with severe disabilities, to provide these services to state agencies, local government units, and qualified non-profit organizations across 7 Illinois counties. The contract will cover 29 locations, with 4 locked, 62-gallon storage containers provided at each site. Services will include monthly pickup and container exchange, secure destruction at the vendor's facility, and certificates of destruction. The total estimated value of the initial one-year contract term is $111,306.
This contract opportunity is being awarded through Illinois' State Use program, which permits the state to directly contract with qualified non-profit agencies that provide employment and job training for individuals with disabilities. CMS has determined that contracting with Clay County Rehabilitation Services is in the best interest of the state and is allowed under Illinois procurement law. The State Use Committee has reviewed and approved the pricing as fair and reasonable. This contract will provide employment and job training opportunities for 9 individuals with disabilities.
