About this opportunity

The Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH) and the Massachusetts Department of Early and Secondary Education (DESE) are seeking to establish a list of up to twelve pre-qualified individuals to serve as Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) Interviewers and Raters. The selected individuals will be responsible for conducting interviews with candidates, rating the interviews according to established SLPI criteria, meeting with the team to reach consensus on scores, and writing final reports. The contract will remain open throughout the life of the agreement, with a potential duration through June 30, 2030 with two seven-year renewal options. Applicants must have advanced sign language skills, a positive view of the SLPI assessment, and experience functioning as part of a team.

This contract opportunity is set aside for Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP)-participating small businesses. The compensation rates for the various SLPI-related services are $100 per hour for conducting interviews, $75 per hour for evaluations and report writing, and $50 per hour for evaluations with volunteer candidates. MCDHH reserves the right to adjust the compensation rates and size of the Interviewer/Rater pool as needed during the contract term. The total budget or award value for this contract opportunity is not explicitly stated.
