About this opportunity

The Auraria Higher Education Center (AHEC), on behalf of the Community College of Denver, is requesting quotes for design, fabrication, and installation of interior and exterior signage at the Boulder Creek Health and Science Center, with quotes due August 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. MT.

The scope encompasses six total signs: one interior feature sign (illuminated CCD logo 60.8" x 89.2" with 9.25"–16.6" halo illuminated letters) and five exterior signs at the main entrance, dental and veterinary clinic locations, and two additional exterior locations (Colfax & 9th and Colfax & RTD). Signage includes both illuminated and non-illuminated components; interior and exterior entrance signage will be illuminated with CCD colors, while clinic identification will use non-illuminated stainless steel letters. Work encompasses site survey, permit fees, and permit procurement. Pricing must include all labor, materials, equipment, fabrication, coordination, and installation services; scissor or boom lift rental; and delivery. Work occurs during normal CCD business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time), with electrical connections located within six feet of signage locations.

Vendors must demonstrate a minimum of three successfully completed projects within the past five years involving fabrication and installation of signage packages for higher education, K-12 educational, governmental, municipal, healthcare, or similarly complex institutional facilities, with documented project descriptions, values, completion dates, and client references. Respondents must maintain all required Colorado licenses and registrations and provide shop drawing samples.

The contract term runs from Purchase Order issuance through completion of installation, scheduled for late September 2026 through early October 2026. Award notification is estimated for August 26, 2026, with Purchase Order issuance anticipated for August 27, 2026. Written inquiries were due August 7, 2026. Cost is the primary evaluation criterion; AHEC will award to the responsible respondent whose acceptable quote is most advantageous, also evaluating quality, relevant experience, and capacity to meet project schedules. Vendors must carry workers' compensation, commercial general liability ($1 million minimum), and automobile liability ($1 million minimum) coverage. Pricing must remain firm throughout the Purchase Order term and exclude federal excise or sales taxes.
