About this opportunity
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is requesting bids for installation and extraction of seasonal docks and extension piles at the Wellington State Park boat ramp on Newfound Lake in Bristol, with bids due June 23, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
The scope requires the contractor to extract three temporary steel extension piles (16 feet long, approximately 600 pounds each), two wood-framed floating dock segments (approximately 4,400 pounds each), and one aluminum gangway (30 feet long by 4 feet wide) during autumn 2026, anticipated October 13–16, and to reinstall these components during spring 2027 (April or early May, pending ice-out conditions and road weight limits). The contractor must supply all necessary strapping or cabling for securing components; NHFG personnel will handle opening pile slot spaces, placing strapping, and managing storage. Work must occur on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., anticipated to be completed in less than one day. The contractor is responsible for protecting all facility infrastructure, including concrete ramps, dock abutments, and asphalt pavement, and must repair any damage caused by project activities.
The contractor must provide crane services with an operator and include the hourly crane rate in a total lump sum bid covering both extraction and installation. Payment will be made in two equal 50-percent increments: upon completion of extraction and upon completion of installation. Award will be based on the lowest lump sum bid. Contractors must obtain a New Hampshire vendor number prior to contract execution. Site visits are at the contractor's discretion. Questions are due by 2:00 p.m. on June 18, 2026, to Garret Graaskamp at garret.graaskamp@wildlife.nh.gov.
