About this opportunity

The Jordan School District (JSD) in Salt Lake County, Utah, has issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) # 26DB05 for resurfacing tennis courts at Copper Hills High School in West Jordan. The project involves comprehensive tennis court renovation, including removing existing surface material, power washing courts, applying latex primer, installing one coat of acrylic surfacer with silica sand, applying two coats of acrylic color matching existing courts, painting new playing lines according to USTA rules, and site cleanup. Bidders must have a minimum of five years of experience and be licensed in the State of Utah. The mandatory pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. MDT, with bids due on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. MDT. The project must be substantially completed by December 1, 2025, with work permitted between 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, with a bid bond requirement of 5% for bids exceeding $50,000.

The procurement includes several important restrictions and requirements. Vendors must comply with Utah State laws, including drug and alcohol testing requirements and restrictions on economic boycotts. Contractors are required to provide a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement, certifying they are not engaged in economic boycotts against specific entities. Performance and payment bonds equal to the total bid price will be required for projects exceeding $50,000. The project is tax-exempt, and the preferred bid submission method is electronically through Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) Bonfire. Bidders must also complete a URS Post-Retired Verification Form for independent contractors and provide a W-9. While no specific budget range is explicitly stated, the requirement for bid and performance bonds suggests the project has a substantial financial scope. The JSD reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality in the best interest of the school district.
