About this opportunity
Tooele County is soliciting bids under IFB DF26-35 to furnish and install three motor-operated rolling steel overhead door assemblies at the Tooele County Landfill, with bids due November 6, 2026 at 12:00 PM MST. Bids must be emailed to purchasing@tooeleco.gov and must not go through the U3P Bonfire portal. The County may award upon receipt of three bids, and this is not a sealed bid solicitation.
Each door serves a nominal 16-foot-wide by 16-foot-high opening. Bidders may offer insulated or non-insulated construction for the same three openings, and the County will designate the configuration before fabrication. The scope requires one front-of-coil electric operator per door rated at 1 horsepower and compatible with 230 or 460 volt, three-phase supply, plus operating controls, limit controls, light curtain safety systems, and manufacturer-approved manual operation. The contractor furnishes all low voltage control and safety wiring, while line voltage supply and final connections are provided by others. Work includes delivery scheduling, site protection, lifting and installation equipment (including scissor lift and forklift), testing, and training. Closeout requires product data, operating and maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, maintenance intervals, warranty documentation, and service contacts. The warranty period is one year, with nonconforming items repaired or replaced within ten days of written notice under Attachment B.
Evaluation is lowest cost, technically acceptable, though the County may award to a higher-priced bidder if it determines that is in its best interest. Offers must include cost breakdowns by parts, labor, and freight; key personnel; subcontractors; experience on at least three comparable projects completed within the last seven years; and a delivery and installation schedule. Offers remain valid for 90 calendar days after the deadline. Bonding is not required. Insurance requires commercial general liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate, statutory workers' compensation, and commercial auto liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence if vehicles are used.
The anticipated award is a single firm-fixed-price purchase order for the complete project. Site visits are arranged through purchasing@tooeleco.gov. Attachment C contains existing building drawings, and the building is substantially complete. Procurement contact is Daniel Folks, Procurement Manager, at daniel.folks@tooeleco.gov. Questions may be submitted through utah.bonfirehub.com or by email to purchasing@tooeleco.gov.
