About this opportunity
This state contracting opportunity is for the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) to procure various office supplies for the Robinson School. The Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) is valued at under $50,000 and includes the purchase of pens, markers, tapes, pencils, and other related items. The successful vendor must deliver all items by November 27, 2020. The contract term begins upon signature of both parties and ends on June 30, 2021. Vendors must provide unit prices and extended totals for each item, and the agency reserves the right to order additional quantities at the awarded bid price for 15 days after contract execution. The agency also reserves the right to award the bid in whole or in part. Funding for this contract will be from state appropriations for fiscal year 2021.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Illinois Chief Procurement Office has implemented a new policy requiring all state agencies to only accept electronic bid and proposal submissions through the BidBuy procurement system, effective immediately. This applies to all solicitations, including small purchases. Agencies must work with their State Purchasing Officers to determine if bid/proposal deadlines need to be extended, and publish amendments specifying the new electronic submission requirements. The CPO will provide training on the new procedures, which include using video conferencing to publicly open bids and receive proposals. No information is provided on set-asides, incumbent vendors, or award budget ranges.
