About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is soliciting bids on IBM 3590-E11 tape drives, with bids due October 29, 2013.
The solicitation is governed by the Division of Purchases standard bidding procedures. Electronic submission is required with a closing time of 2:00 p.m. local time. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value to the State, evaluated on quality of goods, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and ultimate cost. In the event of tie bids, in-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive preference.
Bidders must submit separate unit prices for each item with all transportation charges prepaid and included in quoted prices. The State is exempt from Federal and Maine sales and use taxes; quotes should exclude these taxes. Cash discounts of 20 days or longer are considered in determining the low bidder; discounts under 20 days are not considered. Alternate bids and supporting documentation may be submitted. Quotes may be withdrawn by written notice prior to contract award. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, waive formalities or technicalities, and increase or decrease ordered quantities by up to 10 percent unless otherwise specified. Contractors must furnish items exactly as specified; any deviation is grounds for rejection. The State reserves the right to procure from alternate sources and charge excess costs to the contractor in case of default.
