About this opportunity
The Incorporated County of Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities, Electric Production is requesting information on data logging systems and operator rounds/walkdowns software for hydroelectric power plants, with responses due October 13, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time. This is an RFI; the County may use responses to develop future procurement specifications, gauge market interest, or select a sole source if only one respondent submits.
The system must serve two facilities (El Vado and Abuiquiu hydroelectric plants) and digitize paper-based logs and walkdown checklists. Must-have capabilities include historical data trending, search functionality, data export, and work order creation. Predictive preventive maintenance and AI agent integration are desirable criteria. The County seeks information on deployment options (on-site or cloud-based), template and form creation, data security and archival, training and integration services, and technical support. Integration with existing Allen Bradley PLCs and Ignition platforms is required. Respondents should address FedRAMP authorization, government cloud options, and U.S.-based data storage guarantees.
Rough-order-of-magnitude cost estimates must cover implementation, maintenance, support, ongoing subscriptions, updates, and upgrades over the contract term. Pricing should distinguish between basic and all-inclusive service packages. Respondents should provide cooperative purchasing agreements with federal, state, or other governmental entities if available. Virtual product demonstrations may be conducted at the County's discretion.
Questions are due October 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time, with County responses issued by October 8 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. All submissions must be made electronically through the County's Procurement Portal at https://losalamosnm.bonfirehub.com. Jaime Kephart, Procurement Contract Manager, is the point of contact at jaime.kephart@losalamosnm.gov or 505-662-8191. All materials submitted become public records under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act.
Opportunity text
This solicitation is a Request for Information ("RFI"). The County may utilize the responses received from this RFI to develop specifications and/or scope of services for a future procurement or to gauge interest in a future procurement. A sole source selection may also result when there is only one respondent to an RFI. The Incorporated County of Los Alamos ("County") Department of Public Utilities, Electric Production, is seeking information from qualified service providers who provide data logging systems and operator rounds/walkdowns for power plants. (CMMS). The system will be for data entry from 2 different facilities. We currently have a standard log form and walkdown checklist that would be used to eliminate our paper logs and digitize our system. Historical data trending, search, data export, and work order creation are must haves. Predictive PM's, and other features, including possible AI agents, are criteria that should be included in the rough order of magnitude.
