About this opportunity
Houston County Board of Education in Georgia is requesting sealed bids for HVAC replacement at multiple locations under PFA Project #21092M, with proposals due November 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at 1100 Main Street, Building A, Perry, Georgia 31069, and a pre-bid conference scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on November 16, 2021 at the Board of Education office.
All bidders must hold a current Georgia State Construction Industry Licensing Board contractor's license and must submit a signed E-Verify affidavit confirming compliance with O.C.G.A. 13-10-91; bids without this affidavit will not be considered. The successful bidder is responsible for obtaining signed E-Verify affidavits from all subcontractors and sub-subcontractors.
The scope encompasses furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to replace HVAC equipment in accordance with construction drawings and specifications, with all work complying with the 2012 International Mechanical Code and local City Standard Specifications. Contract documents are available from PFA Engineering, Inc. at 706-722-3959 or gcartledge@pfaengineers.com.
All work must be completed by June 30, 2022. Bids must be accompanied by 10 percent bid security in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price. Bids remain valid for 30 calendar days following closing; no bid may be withdrawn for 60 calendar days. Retainage is set at 10 percent of completed work until final acceptance. The Notice of Award will be issued within 60 days after bid opening. Award will be made to the lowest qualified, responsible, and responsive bidder based on the Board's evaluation of bid compliance and qualifications and experience of proposed subcontractors. Amendment 1, posted October 19, 2021, clarifies that bid security of 10 percent of maximum bid price is required and that failure to acknowledge receipt of the addendum may result in disqualification.
