Health Curriculum

This state and local contract opportunity is for the procurement of a complete health education program for grades 9-12 by the Illinois School for the Deaf in McLean County. The required program includes student edition textbooks, student edition textbooks with 6-year online licenses, teacher's edition textbooks, video DVDs, reading and note-taking guides, and assessment suite CD-ROMs. The materials must cover topics such as healthy eating, physical activity, alcohol and drug use prevention, tobacco, personal health and wellness, mental and emotional health, safety, sexual health, and violence prevention. Vendors must provide pricing for the specified quantities and meet the technical specifications outlined in the Request for Quote (RFQ). The contract terms include a minimum 1-year warranty, a 90-day price quote validity period, and a requirement that no price increases will be accepted. The agency reserves the right to reject all offers, award by item or group, and choose the winning vendor based on the lowest total bid. Vendors must also agree to partial shipments in case of delays in the total order fulfillment.

The RFQ does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The agency has not provided information on any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor has it indicated any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFQ also does not include any information on the possible award values or budget ranges.
